As the snow descended on North Wales, the PODP course were forced to contingency plan! But where could we achieve adventure in Southern England..?

Not Scared of a Challenge

Adventurous Training is a big part of Army life. It takes you out of your comfort zone and pushes you to become more resilient, more courageous, and a better team worker. This impacts personal as well as professional life. While we usually go hill-walking, this course headed to Reading Climbing Centre which is ideally suited for adverse weather conditions.

Adapt and Overcome.

This one will be familiar to military ears but is doubly relevant here. Not only did our students have to navigate obstacles, using their environment as best as they can to achieve success, but the new second lieutenants planning the adventurous training had to quickly generate a plan which pushed students outside of their comfort zones when the weather precluded our usual trip to Wales.
