PODP Course Aim

Deliver high quality education to develop potential officers (POs) in support of officer recruiting. All of this takes place at the Army School of Education (ASE), part of the Defense College of Logistics, Policing and Administration based at Worthy Down in Hampshire.

  • 12 weeks long

  • 3 courses a year; Jan, May, and Sept.

  • Up to 32 students per course.

  • A diverse range of students.

  • PODs, serving soldiers with a Cat 2 from Briefing.

  • PRMAS, candidates referred from AOSB Main Board.

  • Dedicated military educational staff (PGCE qualified officers).

Tailored to the individual and developing;

  • self-confidence,

  • cultural interests,

  • communication skills,

  • interpersonal skills,

  • analysis,

  • planning

  • problem-solving.

This will ultimately improve their chances of commissioning as an officer into the British Army.
